Directions to the Voisin’s GREAT NORTHERN LODGE at 8 Point Lake:

P    Take 127 North to Clare

P    Take US10 West towards Cadillac/Ludington

P    Continue on US10 West and enjoy the breathtaking views of the lush forests.

P    The road will eventually narrow down to a two lane road, don’t be alarmed, and please do NOT pass when oncoming traffic is present!

P    You will pass through the metropolis of Lake (you will see a blinking light)

P    About/approximately/kind-a-sort-a/in the neighborhood of 2 miles past the blinking light, you will see a road sign on your right that says (well, it doesn’t really talk, it just stands there silently)          Partridge Ave

If you get to the intersection of US10 and M66 – you are lost, so turn around and try again you dufus!

P    Turn left onto Partridge and travel about 2 miles.  You will now be able to catch a brief glimpse of beautiful 8 Point Lake on your right through the trees.

P    As you are trying to see the lake through the trees, be sure not to miss the right turn onto South Shore Drive or run over any wildlife. (If you do hit anything, scoop it up and we’ll throw it on the barby for dinner)

P    Directly after making the turn, you will see Bev’s – 8 Point’s version of 7-11, (but without the neon and fancy signs).  If the spirit moves you, feel free to pick up your favorite beverage !

P    O.K., back to the directions – continue on South Shore Drive for about a ¼ - ½ mile and then start looking on your left for a tan house with green shutters and a second story deck. The address is 10936. When you see it, you’ve almost arrived, but you need to circle around to park first.

P    So, take the first left turn you can make so you go around the house to the garage and park in the driveway.

P    You have now arrived at the Voisin’s Great Northern Lodge ! 

P    Turn off your vehicle, remove your keys, be sure to grab whatever supplies you purchased from Bev’s, go around the right side of the garage and come on up to the house.
